The anthology is mostly comical, as Catarina is largely oblivious of the other girls’ feelings for her, but it has more explicit Yuri moments than the original series, including a kiss. Girls Patch features nine stories different short stories focusing on Catarina and various female characters from the original series. Nami Hidaka illustrates a manga adaptation that has been serialized in Monthy Comic Zero Sum since 2017.
The light novels are licensed by J-Novel Club. It was originally released online on Shousetsuka ni Narou before being picked up by Ichijinsha, who have published 11 volumes since acquiring the series in 2015. In order to avoid these routes that lead to doom, Catarina begins taking countermeasures that lead to unexpected consequences and reactions from the game world’s other characters. She realizes she has been reborn into the world of an otome game as its villainess who, regardless of what route the player took in the original game, is doomed to be either exiled or killed. My Next Life as a Villainess follows Catarina Claes, the young daughter of a noble family, who one day bumps her head and regains memories of her past life.
